Engagement with South Australia's Aboriginal communities formed an important part of the state-wide nuclear consultation program. Over the course of three months, more than 30 communities were visited by a dedicated consultation team with a program designed to explain the Royal Commission's findings, listen and understand the community's perpectives, and encourage people to provide feedback directly to Government.

A series of translated fact sheets and videos were developed to assist Aboriginal communities in accessing important information about the Royal Commission process, findings and recommendations. Feedback recieved from Aboriginal communities through the consultation process was considered by the second Citizens' Jury in October and November, and formed a key input to the Government Response delivered at the end of 2016.
